Proposed shift to Daylight Saving Time year-circular (Sunshine Protection Act) [edit]

In 2018, the Florida Legislature approved, and the governor signed, the "Sunshine Protection Act" (Firm Bill 1013),[one] which would permanently move Florida to Daylight Saving Fourth dimension.[2] A related bill, Senate Bill 858, also proposed unifying the time zones of the Panhandle counties to the residue of the state, moving the x counties that are within the Fundamental Time Zone to the Eastern Time Zone, but this bill was not passed.[3] [4] A change to yr-round Daylight Saving Time would require blessing from The states Department of Transportation every bit well equally the The states Congress.[five] [6]
